So today I’m sick.
Not a bad sick, just puny feeling, coughing, sniffling,
achey. All that crap.
Sucks.
I don’t feel like running and I know I shouldn’t so I can
get better faster, but I didn’t get either my long run or sprint workout in
last weekend because of a plumbing project that got to be bigger than it
looked. Like that ever happens…
So I don’t want to make it two weekends in a row of no long
run or sprints.
It’s raining and cold out, but I have a great jacket to wear
in the rain and I’d be totally fine otherwise.
Having the right gear is an important tool to keep training on
track. Of course missing a day or two
here and there isn’t really that big a deal, but I don’t like delaying my
schedule like this. Whatever. Sick is sick and I should pay attention to
that.
I totally see me going and back and forth here so you can
really see how I’m feeling. Bothered by
the inconvenience but resolved that it’ll be okay.
That sounds so stinking over dramatic doesn’t it? I’m just talking about running but it sounds
like a tragedy has struck. Get over it
wuss boy.
So Duke won today, I got a long nap (okay a couple of naps),
and I’m sitting in front of the fire place in Manteo with my wife after eating
ice cream sundaes. Life is so good.
Thanks God!
